			<description>ConceitoA identidade dos povos ind&amp;iacute;genas amaz&amp;ocirc;nicos &amp;eacute; fundada no seu profundo conhecimento sobre as formas de vida da floresta, e as complexas conex&amp;otilde;es entre elas. A apropria&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o indevida de recursos gen&amp;eacute;ticos e conhecimentos tradicionais causa uma crescente preocupa&amp;ccedil;&amp;atilde;o entre os povos ind&amp;iacute;genas do Acre. Casos como, Ayahuasca (Banisteriopsis caapi), o sapo Kamb&amp;ocirc; (phyllomedusa bicolor) e o Cupua&amp;ccedil;u (theobroma grandiflorum) alertaram os povos ind&amp;iacute;genas sobre esta nova forma de &amp;ldquo;roubo de conhecimento&amp;rdquo; chamado de Biopirataria. The misappropriation of genetic resources and traditional knowledge is causing a growing concern among the indigenous people of Acre . Cases such as Ayahuasca (Banisteriopsis caapi), the Kamb&amp;ocirc; frog (phyllomedusa bicolor) and Cupua&amp;ccedil;u (theobroma grandiflorum) have alerted indigenous people about this new form of &amp;ldquo;plunder of knowledge&amp;rdquo; called Biopiracy.
